Stefana

The Wedding Crowns or Stefena are a key part of the Greek Orthodox Wedding ceremony.  They symbolise the unity of the couple and nobility.  You can find them in many different types of materials but traditionally they are made of gold, white fabric or can be made of orange blossoms, twigs or vine wrapped in silver or gold paper. The two crowns are joined together by a long ribbon and it is this that depicts their unity as a couple.

I personally went for hammered silver with leather joining them from Pronovias, which were gorgeous but above are some other beautiful examples for you.
