Amazing Rental Company: Style Box

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last couple of days, sometimes life throws you a curve ball and you need some time out to get your head around it!

As we have discussed before, renting accessories and furniture for a wedding in Greece, is tricky.  Sara has just sent me a link to a great, new company which rents out furniture and equipment for events.  The company is based out of north Kifissia in Athens but like most companies in Athens, they will travel to the islands and other parts of the mainland

They have a good range of accessories which could transform any area into  a chic lounge or funky bar, as you can see from all the above images. For more information and to see their full stock of furniture and equipment check out their website www.stylebox.gr

Nautical Nothings

Good afternoon all, Isn't the inspiration board below cool? I didn't think I'd like the nautical theme as much as I do, I think I like the very specific take on it, it has to be feminine, yet minimal and just as I said above.....cool!!!

The colour palette speaks for itself, navy and white teamed with baby blue, red, yellow perhaps even a mid pink.

I am also a huge fan of texture, layer white on white but add different textures, think lace, broderie anglaise, meringues, feathers, fabrics, cushions, etc.

Perfect for an afternoon beach wedding or carrying on the theme from yesterday, an on board wedding!!!!!!!

The coolest Invitation!

There are very few people that can make their invites truly personal and unique but I think this invitation deserves that description.  It is the invite of a family friend and I think it is amazing.  A little history behind the person is in order.  Male, early thirties, amusing, interesting, retro and a musician.  His fiance is no less a woman!  Now come on people.....that invite screams all of those things.

This is a great example of how to do it right.  I know it is not a traditional invite but none the less it is an invite of note.  The fact that it all comes neatly in a vinyl sleeve, is just the icing on the cake!

Love it, love it, love it!

Quintessentially Greek

How gorgeous is this image?  It is so quintessentially Greek, I love it.  For me coming into a wedding reception and being confronted by this scene would just make my heart jump especially as the sun starts to set and the up lit boats really come into their own.

This atmosphere can be created with ease in so many different locations in Greece and that for me is what makes it so great.  Whether or not your would have to hire the boats for it is another question but honestly, I think it would be worth the research.  It is simply, beautiful.

You've Got Mail

Everyone loves getting post, especially when it is not a bill or junk mail, so you can imagine how excited I was to get an envelope the other day with SARA&NIKOS 12.09.10 written on the envelope.

I have posted the images of Sara's amazing invites for you all to see!  I am sure she will have something to say about it but I loved them and felt they should be shared.

They are matched perfectly to her theme of Navy blue and what I like the most about them is they come across as fresh and set the atmosphere of her wedding perfectly.

Sara has also gone to the trouble of having two sets made.  One for the English guests and one for the Greek guests which I think is a lovely touch (one I should have done myself, sorry Dad!).

Sara, they look great.  Roll on the 12th September!
